Part of the residency Cassie Norton Presents Song Experiment
Southern Cross
"Marching Disorder is releasing our first single, Your Silence, by member Xefira Ganton. Xefira brought this song to us in June, and since then we've been scrambling to record and release it because it is so relevant to what is happening in our world right now.
Just last week Arms Embargo Now released this report about the Canadian Governments complicity in the genocide in Gaza: https://armsembargonow.ca/report/
By the end of the month, Don Kerr came to our aid, and we recorded in his suprisingly big-enough-for-Marching-Disorder, yet cozy-boat-like studio, Rooster Studios.
Your Silence was released on digital platforms July 30th, but we wanted to share it in person with the help of some of our close musical friends and activist allies.
Guest Artists include:
Roula Said - music Diem La Fortune - music Don Kerr - music Leslie Shapiro - music David Wall - music Sarah Abusarar - storytelling
All proceeds from the event will go to https://linktr.ee/thesameerproject, a donations based aid initiative for Gaza led by Palestinian
Even if you can't attend this performance, and you have some money to share, we strongly encourage you to donate to this very worthy organization. "
