Part of the residency Clela Errington and Barbara Lynch
Southern Cross
Barbara Lynch and Clela Errington begin a new residency the first Saturday of every month! Barbara will be featuring original songs from her new album ‘where did you go’ and Clela will be showcasing the songs on her album to be released in the fall.
In Barbara’s music you can hear echoes of jazz, folk, blues, barrel-house boogie and old-time-religion hymns. She writes story telling songs, offering up intimate portraits of people's lives played in the old blues style on a parlour guitar or upright piano. A singer songwriter and interpreter, Clela’s vibrant blend of folk and jazz creates the perfect vehicle for her intimate and dynamic vocal delivery, and nowhere are her gifts more evident than in her original songs. Together Clela and Barbara choose an old fashioned 'round robin' style of performance, trading songs, sometimes playing together and sometime alone, whatever serves the songs best. Their musical styles compliment each other beautifully and create a unique show in which the weight is always on the song and its presentation to the listener.
Clela Errington and Barbara Lynch play the first Saturday of every month 5 pm - 7 pm in the Southern Cross Lounge.
Folk, blues, jazz, singer-songwriter, acoustic.
