Ariane Morin - Southern Balkans co-labs on Saxophone

"Each 2nd Thursday of the month, Montrealer saxophonist Ariane Morin aims to create a space for new collaborations in Balkan, Greek, and Turkish music with musicians from the local Toronto diaspora scene.

The concert series kicks off with a brass band focus, featuring musician colleagues Ariane Morin has been collaborating with over the past year. Max Forster, Nathan Dell-Vanderberg, Ian Tulloch, and Jaash Singh—current and past members of Lemon Bucket Orchestra—are all active musicians on the Toronto music scene and beyond.

1st set: Klezmer Brass Band Tantshoyz! Featuring special guest, some dance leading, and original Klezmer tunes for Yiddish dancing from Ariane's album Tantshoyz.

2nd set: Balkan Brass Band Fiery Balkan tunes for listening or dancing!"
