"Brown Dolly returns for another night of improvisation, tension, noise, image, and relation.
This time we will be collaborating with Jorge Lozano Lorza, a renowned Colombian-Canadian experimental filmmaker with over 30 years of work spanning cinema, documentary, political image-making, and moving image experimentation.
For the first time, Jorge will join us live on electronics while also presenting a series of short films, including works rarely screened in public. Together we will improvise through sound, texture, interference, rhythm, memory, and accident, responding in real time to the images as they unfold.
Expect a night of Latin noise, political undertones, relational fractures, tenderness, distortion, migration, static, atmosphere, and moments that may never happen the same way again.

Brown Dolly are Lucia Rojas and dssPow, a Toronto-based duo working with experimental sound, movement, voice, and media. Rooted in improvisation and deep listening, their performances move through connection and disconnection, tension and release, tracing the very nature of relationships. Throughout this residency they will present evolving live sets and invite guest artists from Toronto’s experimental and Latin American artistic communities. Evenings may include solo performances and collaborative improvisation.
