Caju Collective Presents Neda Mohamadpour

Caju Collective presents Neda Mohamadpour live recording residency at Tranzac’s Southern Cross on June 13, 2026. Tehran-born vocalist rooted in Persian folk and maqam traditions, trained with Simin Ghanem and Malihe Moradi. Neda's singing blends microtonal improvisation, jazz, psychedelia and contemporary electronic textures. Neda’s debut album "Where the Rain Is Stored" reimagines Persian folk through improvisation and emotional depth. Neda will be joined by Caju Collective’s house band in a live set recorded and cut to limited 7" vinyl.
"Caju Collective invites Toronto-based musicians to showcase their music and experience the group’s distinctive live recording process. Featured artists perform with the Collective’s house band (Artu, Felipe, and Dan) at Tranzac’s Southern Cross, where sets are recorded live and cut to 7"" vinyl on the Caju Collective label.
Expect an eclectic lineup spanning Brazilian and Latin styles (samba, bossa nova, maracatu, cumbia), Jazz Fusion, Colombian flute-led music, multi-lingual vocalists, and more"
