Various talented friends help Kurt Newman pay tribute to the classic sounds of bluegrass.
Kurt Newman––who leads the Saturday afternoon bluegrass casual jam every week at the Tranzac––presents a special and unique one-time-only evening bluegrass jam on Thursday night at 9:30. If you play a bluegrass instrument (acoustic guitar played with a flatpick, 5-string banjo, fiddle, mandolin, dobro, upright bass, and of course voice) and like to jam, please come on by. Unlike the Saturday jam, this one will be at a more advanced level, and so is not recommended as anybody's first bluegrass jam--that's what the Saturday sessions are for. But if you like to pick and sing we'd love to see you there/then!"
