"This spring, Lisboa-Portugal's Minta & The Brook Trout - who write songs about everyday things, like breakups and furniture -- are heading out on a six day tour of Ontario and Quebec with Toronto songwriters Sarah Greene and Paul Kolinski. They play Tranzac's Southern Cross on Monday, March 30, 9:30 pm - 11:30 pm (with special guest Justin Orok).
Minta's new album, Stretch, their fifth album, was released by louva-adeus in September 2025. The most international record in the band’s history, it features Shelley Short (US) and The Weather Station (CA) as guest singers on two tracks (“Please Make Room For Me Please” with Shelley Short and “Born To Be Mild” with The Weather Station). Minta will play as a duo (Francisca Cortesão and Mariana Ricardo). Not to be missed!
