The New Toronto Symphony Orchestra (NTSO) is an independent and transformative musical organization committed to redefining the classical music experience. Born from a desire to challenge the conventions of the traditional symphony orchestra, the NTSO offers a fresh, critical approach that both satirizes and celebrates the art form. Through an emphasis on improvisation and interdisciplinary experimentation, our organization hopes to reignite the spirit through which this music was first born, imbuing its performance and interpretations with spontaneity, risk taking, and unencumbered authenticity.
