"the second iteration of who’s afraid? @tranzac292 is here. just a tiny bit different from our regular programming, we return this time with a matinee on sunday, may 24th, from 1pm - 3:30pm in the big ol main hall.
Who’s Afraid? is a reading series dedicated to the many shapes of fear, terror, haunting, alienation. We ask “who gets to be afraid?” and “what are we afraid of?” through poetry, prose, flash fiction, and experimental literary forms, from artists who grapple with fear as an experience, inherited memory, and social force. for this special edition, the first half of the show is dedicated to our younger storytellers— one of whom is responsible for our sickest poster to date. our second half will feature gorgeous (perhaps, more typical) readers. stay tuned for the full line-up announcement.
the first hour and half of the show is family and lil one friendly. we sincerely hope that those (of all ages!) who don’t always find themselves at literary events come on out! this one’s for you. tickets are “first come first serve,” PWYC at-the-door— cash or e-transfer. proceeds, along with 10% of bar revenue, will go towards mutual aid.
