The Toronto Zine Library (TZL) is a volunteer and donation-run space on the second floor of Tranzac. It is a unique and inviting space dedicated to independent and alternative publications. It offers a cozy environment perfect for reading, researching, and discovering a diverse collection of zines and other self-published works. With over 3000 zines catalogued, TZL is an invaluable resource for artists, writers, and community members interested in exploring grassroots literature and DIY culture.
TZL is free to visit and open to the public on Tuesdays and Fridays from 6-8 p.m. It is also available for private rentals; ideal for workshops, small group meetings, and intimate events. Its relaxed atmosphere and extensive collection provide a creative haven for those seeking inspiration and knowledge.
Please note that alcohol is not permitted on the second floor of Tranzac as it is not licensed.
