Maryem Tollar Presents "Psyche and Eros" - Dawne McFarlane (storyteller) with Maryem Tollar and Sophia Grigoriadis providing music
"Come and join storyteller, Dawne McFarlane, who will be accompanied musically by Maryem Tollar and Sophia Grigoriadis, as she tells the story of Psyche and Eros - as we head into the season of love with valentine's day coming around the corner. Sunday, Februry 8, 2026 from 5 to 7 p.m. at The Southern Cross located inside the Tranzac Club (292 Brunswick Avenue, Toronto.) PWYC The ancient Greek myth of Psyche (Greek word for ""soul, breath, spirit"") and Eros (“desirous love” and the God of Love, also known as Cupid) has inspired artists, musicians, writers and poets for centuries. It’s a love story with secrets, hidden identities, betrayal, heartbreak, trials and tribulations, divine guidance and reunion. The original story in its entirety is largely unknown, and so full of wisdom it has been called “a new map of love.” The story is full of such turning points, where tragedy is averted and love triumphs. It's a unique Greek myth with a happy ending! We need such illumination during this profound time of global cultural transformation, to help us reimagine our world and how to go forward together with love and respect. "
